Refund & Return Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026

Estimates and Project Agreements

Estimates are provided for planning purposes and are not a binding agreement until accepted by both you and XBOC Custom Coatings. Your signed proposal, contract, change order, or invoice may include project-specific terms, deposit amounts, payment schedules, cancellation rights, and warranty information. If those written terms conflict with this policy, the signed project-specific terms control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Returns

We do not accept returns of installed coatings, resurfacing materials, flooring systems, countertops, or other custom work that has been prepared, ordered, mixed, applied, or installed for a specific project.

Unused, non-custom materials may be eligible for return only if XBOC Custom Coatings agrees in writing before the material is ordered or used. Any supplier restocking fee, shipping cost, or other non-refundable charge may be deducted from a refund where permitted by law.

Cancellations Before Work Begins

If you need to cancel a scheduled project, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. We will confirm the cancellation in writing.

Deposits and advance payments are handled according to your signed project agreement. Amounts already spent or committed for project-specific materials, permits, design work, scheduling, mobilization, or other documented costs may be non-refundable to the extent stated in the agreement and permitted by law. If cancellation occurs before we have incurred such costs, any refund will be determined under the project agreement and applicable law.

Nothing in this policy limits any cancellation right that applicable law gives you.

Changes After Work Begins

Changes to the scope, color, texture, pattern, material, layout, schedule, or location of work after a project begins may require a written change order and may affect pricing and completion time. We will discuss the effect of a requested change before proceeding when reasonably possible.

Custom coatings and decorative finishes can vary in color, movement, texture, sheen, and appearance. Variations inherent in concrete, substrate condition, hand-applied finishes, lighting, and custom materials are not defects when the completed work substantially conforms to the approved scope and samples, if any.

Workmanship Concerns

If you believe there is a workmanship issue, please notify us promptly and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the work. Include your name, project address, description of the concern, and photos if available.

If we determine that a covered workmanship issue exists, our first option may be to repair or reperform the affected portion of the work. Any remedy is subject to the written warranty, project agreement, and applicable law. Do not allow another contractor to alter or repair the affected area before we have had a reasonable opportunity to inspect it, unless emergency action is necessary to prevent injury or property damage.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method when feasible. Processing time can vary by financial institution. A refund is not available for work that has been properly completed according to the signed scope solely because of a change in preference, a condition disclosed before work began, ordinary wear, misuse, failure to follow care instructions, or conditions outside our control.

We do not offer refunds for services or materials provided by third parties, except to the extent we are legally responsible or agree otherwise in writing.
